Fish In The Rain I,II, III is a charcoal and graphite drawing tryptic. The three images fit together on separate pieces of white rag printmaking paper, making one larger image. The interesting technical aspect of these drawings is that I was using two printmaking processes to “draw” with the vine charcoal. I used cut and torn paper as a “stencil” to draw and smear the charcoal off of. I also used laser engraved wood plates of the trouts to create images by “rubbing” over the wooden relief plates. The images are drawn to the edge of each full sheet of 30 x 41 inch paper. The image was inspired by the feeling of swimming in love, saturated like a fish in the rain.

These are all sold and in private collections, they are all mixed-process monoprints and are approximately 24 x 29 inches or 29 x 41 inches. The processes used to create these one of-a-kind prints are collagraph intaglio, Linoleum or collagraph relief printing, monotype, dry-point, etching, woodcut. Some also involve printed segments inlaid into the print. These are some of the imagery is primarily from my Appaloosa (horse) Museum Exhibit, the Rivers and Horses Exhibit and the Spirit of Layers Exhibit.
