“Rivers and horses are symbols that I relate to my experience in the western United States. Aspen and cottonwood trees thrive along streams and rivers, some rivers run like wild horses down a mountain. I find horses and running rivers transcendental, metaphors for power and life, for harmony and spirit, for freedom and purpose.”

Pre-website days…newsletter: Douglas Taylor - Art & Framing. This was my first gallery location in Tahoe Vista, California on the north shore of Lake Tahoe. After about six years I moved a few blocks away to a larger location. I changed the name of the business to Vista Gallery. It afforded the only real view of Lake Tahoe from any gallery, at the time.
